Superhero movies really actually annoy me. I have watched most of them and like most of them, but there aren’t any that I would wanna go to the theatre and see over and over again. I guess X-Men and Spiderman are really the only superheroes that I like a lot when they release movies based on them. Generally, I feel like even though studios give these movies an enormous budget, these movies are really cheaply(creativity wise) made and usually follow the same storyline model. Now I have not watched The Avengers yet, but I hear that it will make me change my mind on superhero movies. Let’s hope so…
What is my least favorite superhero? I know that Batman is my least favorite superhero and that means those movies are my least favorite. I mean he doesn’t have any real powers. I watched Batman Begins and fell asleep and didn’t care to get caught up on it. I watched the Dark Knight and felt it was very boring and dry, very little action and a lot of talking. The Joker was the only relief in that movie and only non-boring parts. I also appreciated that it actually was filmed in a creative manner, but over all I wasn’t that thrilled. I highly doubt that I will be going to theatres to see Dark Knight Rises because of what I just said about the last two. I will have to say that this one does look better than the previous two movies. Looks like there will be a lot more action.
This post is not meant to be a hate post on superhero movies. More of a “the hype never lives up” post about these kinds of movies. I know a lot of fanboys love their superheros and the movies that go with them. Awesome, I am friends with a few of them and don’t get it. Keep on, keeping on…
