The idea that Warner Brother’s should donate money from this weekends opening earnings, to the victims and victims families that were involved in the shooting at a Dark Knight Rises midnight showing at Century 16 in Aurora, Colorado is growing. I guess I don’t quite understand why this is growing? Warner Brother’s didn’t pay this guy and weren’t involved. It isn’t like this was a media stunt gone awry. Why should Warner Brother’s be expected to give money to these families? Why is it that some people are saying they should at least pay medical cost involved?
This incident was a very sad and tragic thing to happen to our country. It wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last of such events. It made us think about our safety at one of America’s and becoming the world’s favourite things to do in our spare time. It made that safety blanket of fun and excitement go away. The victims in that auditorium in that theatre that survived are more than likely just happy to be alive. I know that I would be happy. I wouldn’t be expecting any money to come my way from this. The people and families that lost people in that auditorium are, I’m sure, quite sad. But no amount of money is going to replace the lost, or make that pain go away. Again, I would be sad if I lost someone in this, but I wouldn’t expect some kind of payout from it either.
Now with all of that said, I would like to say that I would be surprised if Warner Brother’s doesn’t do something for the victims. It however, shouldn’t be expected and they shouldn’t be harassed if they end up not doing anything. I’d also like to say to the people complaining about not being able to dress up to go to your showing of Dark Knight Rises, please remember it is a small sacrifice that you’re making compared to those that were in that auditorium at Century 16.
Madonna has been showing a video of famous people’s faces. One of those faces happens to be Marnie Le Pen, whom is the leader of France’s National Front political party. Madonna shows Le Pen’s face with a swastika on her forehead. The party was formally known to be anti-Semitic and racist… An image they are trying to shred. The party threatened Madonna that they would take legal action if the video was played at a show in France back when her MDNA Tour started earlier this year. So, Madonna has shown it and now the National Front of France is suing the singer.
We will see how this plays out. How do you think it will play out? Do you think Madonna intentionally did it because she knew it would make headlines for herself? Comment below!
France is wanting to ban pageants for young girls. They also don’t want them to be able to model. I am all in favour of this because the show “Toddlers In Tiara’s” is a show that pisses me off. It is creepy what these parents turn their very young daughters into. I am all for Suri Cruise type baby heels, but to dress your daughter up as a whore is not cute. Of course the US won’t ever try to create a similar ban because there is too much money to be made from these. Read all about why and what France is wanting to do at the link below.
01.06— No one likes to hear that their television show has been cancelled, especially not Melanie. No one also wants to be the one to tell Melanie that her show has been cancelled. Watch the journey of the day that Melanie found out that her show had been cancelled. The cameras were there for it all. Series Finale.
For some people apparently Facebook’s new Timeline, which replaced the Facebook Walls, is worrisome. Sophos Security polled 4,000 Facebook users and 51.29% of the people said that the “Facebook Timeline worries me”. The security company openly admits that they poll users who are a little more concerned about security on the internet than most people. I personally have found that most people don’t like the Timeline because anything they have ever posted, including pictures and status updates, are now more easily accessable than before. I think a lot of people are thinking that there may be some really embarrassing shit that they totally forgot about. So security reasons seem like a better thing to say you are concerned with than saying I did some embarrassing things with my Facebook account.
Technically if a person ever wanted to go back on their Facebook Wall they could have before. Sure it may have taken forever, but it has been possible for a while now. Facebook has just made it easier to do just that with the Timeline. I don’t feel like at the moment we have the Timeline to fear. Unless it is a “highlighted” post of picture from the past, the Timeline crashes my browser. So until that is fixed you can’t get to deep into your personal past of Facebook.
I really like the idea of the Facebook Timeline. When I am an ancient old man, I like the idea of being able to go back to let’s say some random day in May 2011 and seeing what I was doing over the summer while I was only 20 or to go to my 21st birthday in October 2011 and relive that through pics. It is like a real lifetime history book for all of us. What do you guys think about the new Facebook Timeline?

I had heard that a “Glee” spin-off could be in the works after Ryan Murphy announced that the current seniors on the show would graduate at the end of the season. I was against the idea from the beginning to tell you the truth. How would Fox and Ryan Murphy be able to do two shows that would end up being about nearly the same thing except one being college and the other high school with the current show not doing as hot? I have watched “Glee” from the very beginning and this season has been horrible. It has been boring and the story has been running rather slowly. The only highlight has been the Christmas special that was shown before the shows mid-season finale in December. The show has just lacked excitement and Sue Sylvester and her sidekick Becky. I figure that this is one of the reasons that Fox has denied a spin-off from happening. Fox needs “Glee” itself to get back to where it was and out of this junior year slump.
Over the weekend the state of New York was busy with the birth of Beyonce’s baby, Ivy Blue Carter; and Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum got married in upstate New York. I have to say that she always looks very pretty. I also didn’t realize she was so young, she’s only 25. It’s not that she look old or anything, I just don’t think she acts very 25ish.
