You Can’t Fight Ellen And Win

Apparently a group of “mothers” is wanting J.C. Penny to fire their new spokeswoman, Ellen DeGeneres. Why? Because Ellen is gay and they say that if you want a gay person to be the spokesperson then you will lose business. Has anyone in this group not seen or heard about Ellen’s show? He the most homophobic people I know still love Ellen(except for my grandma, but she’s old). Ellen’s daytime talk show is one of the most watched and his watched all over the world. Ellen was also made a CoverGirl a few years ago. I don’t believe I ever heard about CoverGirl losing customers or money because of it. Some people are just really stupid and it makes me have a good laugh. So maybe this group, One Million Moms should do their research in the future before attacking something that they are so wrong about. Bad Taste Fashion Show?

During the Paris Fashion Week, French designer Jean Paul Gaultier supposedly paid “tribute” to the late Amy Winehouse who passed away six months ago. Apparently her family was displeased because they said they were not asked for permission and no money was donated to the foundation set up in Amy’s name. They also didn’t like the fact that Gaultier most likely used her recent death to boost his earnings by using her image.

I would have to agree that this was in bad taste. I guess in reality a person doesn’t have to ask to use a person’s image since images are not trademarked. Amy Winehouse has been extremely popular since her death six months ago and it is sad, but true that he most likely did use her imagine to gain more of a spotlight on his fashion. I guess he obviously got his way considering we are all talking about this. I would also like to had that time flies… I can’t believe it has already been six months since Amy Winehouse left us.
