For the first time ever, MTV has decided to do one uniform “Best” list and has named Katy Perry as this years artist of the year. I agree with what is said in the article about Perry. Katy Perry really was everywhere in 2011 and continued to release great music from her “California Gurls” album. She also had a large multi-city concert tour that was seen all over. Even the bad rumours of her and Russell Brand still is something that shows how much she was around and a hot topic this year. If the single “The One That Got Away” is able to hit number one she will break Michael Jackson’s record of most number one single from a single album which she is currently tied with. Let’s hop we continue to see amazing things from Katy Perry in the very near future and beyond.
